Claire

My eldest daughter Claire is now well into her 40’s and since she was a teenager she has lived in a residential home run by Stockdales in Sale. She has severe cerebral palsy and can neither walk nor speak, but is definitely a lady who knows her own mind! Stockdales, like many local charities, has faced many challenges this year but has continued to give Claire and many others the quality of life that most of us take for granted and managed it with no cases of Covid 19 in a quite high risk area. Without Stockdales I just cannot believe how we would have coped for all these years. Their staff and volunteers do an incredible job and I just cannot thank them enough. Many organisations such as pubs, clubs, shops and local businesses have traditionally been the ir main fund raisers and to some extent this has continued in 2020 but understandably many of these supporters have either been closed for business or have been working in a very limited way.
